Training

Learn with a plan—then dive (or respond) with confidence.

Training is where everything clicks: skills become habits, questions turn into calm decisions, and you get a clear path from “I’m curious” to “I’m ready.” At Scuba Network, we keep it simple on purpose—this page is your starting point for finding the right kind of scuba or safety training and getting to the next step quickly.

Whether you’re brand-new, brushing up, or building toward your next level, the best move is the same: pick the lane that fits your goal, then head to the schedule or reach out so we can match you to the right class.

Choose your training path

There are a lot of ways people arrive here. Some are excited about their first open-water experience. Others want to expand what they can do underwater—deeper dives, new environments, more independence. And some are focused on safety training for real-world readiness.

To make it easy, think of training in three broad categories:

Scuba training If your goal is to dive, start here. Scuba training typically follows a progression—beginning with fundamentals and building toward more advanced skills and specialty areas. If you’re not sure where you fit in that progression, that’s normal. We’ll help you choose the right entry point based on your experience and what you want to do next.

Safety training If your goal is preparedness—at work, at home, or on the water—safety training is about practical skills you can use when it matters. If you’re looking for a specific type of certification or you’re trying to satisfy a requirement, tell us what you’re aiming for and we’ll point you to the best match.

Refreshers and continuing education Even confident divers and capable responders benefit from a tune-up. If it’s been a while, you’re switching environments, or you just want to feel sharper before your next trip, a refresher or continuing class can bring everything back fast—without guesswork.

How scheduling works (and how to get in)

The quickest way forward is to check what’s coming up and choose a time that fits your calendar. If you already know what you want, head straight to our Activity Schedule to find a class time.

If you’re unsure which class to pick—or you’re trying to coordinate training for a group—reach out. A short conversation can save you from signing up for the wrong thing and help you understand what comes first, what comes next, and how to time it around travel or life.

When you’re ready to secure your spot, follow the registration flow you see on the class listing. If anything is unclear while you’re booking, contact us and we’ll help you get it sorted.

Prerequisites & pathways (the overview you actually need)

Most training programs—scuba and safety—follow a logical sequence. That sequence exists for a reason: each class builds on the last, so you’re not asked to perform skills you haven’t learned yet.

Here’s the only “big picture” you need on this page:

  • Start at the level that matches your experience, not your ambition. You’ll progress faster when your foundation is solid.
  • Some classes require prior training or current skills. If a course description lists prerequisites, treat them as a real requirement—not a suggestion.
  • If you’re returning after time away, consider a refresher before jumping into the next level.

Not sure what counts as “recent” experience, or which prior course applies? Contact us. We’ll help you choose a path that makes sense.

New to scuba? Start here.

If you’re brand-new, your main job is simply to begin. You don’t need to know all the course names or the full roadmap.

What you do need is clarity on the first step, confidence that you’re choosing the right option, and a place to ask questions without feeling rushed.

Start by browsing upcoming options on the Activity Schedule, and if you want help choosing, contact us and tell us:

  • Your experience level (including “none”)
  • Your timeline (upcoming trip, flexible, or “as soon as possible”)
  • Your goal (recreational diving, skill-building, safety readiness, etc.)

We’ll help you translate that into the right training plan.

Ready for the next step? Go schedule, checkout, or contact.

If you’re ready to move, pick the next action that matches your certainty level:

  • Know what you want? Head to the Activity Schedule and choose a class.
  • Ready to enroll and pay? Follow the Checkout link associated with your class listing.
  • Not sure which training fits? Contact us and we’ll help you pick the right option.

Training should feel exciting—not confusing. We’ll help you get from “interested” to “scheduled” with a clear plan and no wasted steps.
